Nō nga marama o tātou iwi i whaitua ki tēnei whenua.

O māua whānaungatanga he aroha kinikini.

Nōnā te mana tai me te mana o o tātou wairua.

 

Moon cycles were how our people lived and thrived on this land.  

Our relationship with her was intimate. She is controller of the tides and controller of our emotions.
